SABAI JAI THAI BISTRO
is the creation of Alexander Darmanin where after some fifteen years living in Chiang Rai, the North Province of Thailand, he decided to go back to his homeland Malta and introduce the ancient and exotic recipes of the Lanna Kingdom cuisine he collected with his Thai family.
Everything about Sabai Jai Thai Bistro is about authenticity, where each dish offers its own unique character of mixed herbs and spices such as sweet, salty, sour, bitter and spicy, which will certainly leave your tongue buds absorbed with the exotic and sharp flavors of each dish.
We invite you to come and enjoy your experience with us. Sabai Jai Thai Bistro is a small family run Northern Thai Bistro managed by a small family. We have only 30 seats available so will be best to book your seat beforehand

Authentic Thai dishes from the North province of Thailand.
Our story begins in an exotic world, with deep mountains, magnificent waterfalls and rivers with an abundance of flora and fauna, representing the brilliance of colors of the North of Thailand.
Here is where great ancient palaces from the Lanna Kingdom period thrived as early as 1237 where the great worior, King Mengrai established a great city which he named Ching Rai, a city we can visit these days. Here is truly a place of dreams and ancient tales that still echo through the past.
Sabai Jai Thai Bistro delivers these unique authentic dishes from the ancient recipes we managed to collect, so our next task was to present exquisite flavors, from the freshest of ingredients, and deliver that rich cuisine tradition that was cooked for its royals in their great palaces in the Lanna Kingdom.
So here we are inviting our most valued guests, to come experience the actual authentic Royal Cuisine, prepared by a Thai Family from Chiang Rai itself.
